    Juveniles Juegos Centroamericanos y del Caribe Juegos Panamericanos Juegos Olímpicos REGLAMENTOS GALERIAS Copa Olímpica 2014 Festival Olímpico Femenino Vigilia por la Paz Dia Internacional de la Mujer Tregua Olímpica Ruta Descubrimiento Puerto Rico COPA OLÍMPICA 2013 Celebración 75 años de la mujer Premiación Olímpica 2012 Exhibición Pétalo Olímpico Londres 2012 NEWS HOME IOC NOVEDADES Committee for Finding New Tokyo 2020 Emblem Finalized Committee for Finding New Tokyo 2020 Emblem Finalized By COPUR In IOC NOVEDADES on septiembre 29 2015 ATR The 19 person group to choose the replacement Tokyo 2020 logo has been approved by the organizing committee The Tokyo 2020 Emblem Selection Committee will meet for the first time Tuesday led by president of the Tokyo University of the Arts Ryohei Miyata Miyata was also in charge of the preliminary committee that selected the members to sit on the new emblem committee The committee will seek to examine the problems that arose from the last design and create a policy for the selection of a new emblem The last design was pulled after plagiarism allegations surfaced suggesting the emblem looked like the logo of a Belgian theatre Two attorneys are on the 19 person team to make sure the same mistakes are not made twice The rest of the committee represents a variety of occupations including art professors Paralympians business executives artists and media personalities The full list of members can be seen here To ensure the success of the Tokyo 2020 Games it is essential that we actively engage as many people as possible We will exert our utmost efforts toward the selection of emblems that the people of Japan can be proud of and that will inspire excitement and passion throughout the whole of the country said Miyata The selection committee will choose between entrants from the

    Scene Olympic Stadium a Success as Host for Rugby World Cup On the Scene By COPUR In IOC NOVEDADES on septiembre 29 2015 ATR Organizers of the 2015 Rugby World Cup have told ATR they are extremely pleased with the former Olympic Stadium despite a number of problems in testing A test event match in August between the Barbarians and Samoa was interrupted when the on field sprinklers activated mid play There were also reports of heavy rain causing leaks throughout the venue and plenty of queuing for toilets and after the match However spokesperson for England 2015 told ATR that the sprinkler problem was just an anomaly that was quickly resolved and that since they have had nothing but great feedback from the venue which was the showpiece of the London 2012 Olympics We are extremely pleased with the matches held at the Olympic Stadium a spokesperson told ATR It is a fantastic venue which has hosted two great matches with strong attendance levels We have received great feedback from fans and players who have experienced Rugby World Cup 2015 the stadium and Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park and look forward to hosting the remaining three matches there including the Bronze Final They added With regards to the test event at the Stadium this was part of our wider readiness and testing programme to ensure all our venues were ready for use RWC 2015 There were no leaks at the test event The stadium was mid transformation and unfortunately a minor technical fault with the timer system led to the sprinklers coming on It was resolved quickly and was fully investigated The stadium is currently undergoing an expensive revamp ahead of new tenants West Ham United football club moving in from next year The venue is an important symbol of London s post Games legacy especially as it will play host to the 2017 IAAF World Championships Still the players currently taking part in the Rugby World Cup are over awed by the setting Yannick Nyanga of France said It is good for us to discover the stadium We imagine ourselves in the place of the athletes Usain Bolt does great things every time he steps out We think of Mo Farah who won on home turf We know the quality of the English and the organization of this type of event I think it s a great experience to come here We have never played here We like the change We know the story with the Olympic Games in 2012 A huge part of the team have been waiting for this game The Olympic Park itself continues to be redeveloped meaning a meandering journey for spectators on their way in and out of the stadium Large queues formed for public transport after the matches so far including New Zealand s 58 14 win over Namibia which saw more than 50 000 spectators attend although they have not been to the scale of delays seen at other World Cup venues

    of the adjudicatory chamber of FIFA s ethics commission said the decision was taken on the basis of investigations into the scandal riddled 2018 2022 FIFA World Cup bidding process FIFA s chief investigator Cornel Borbély opened a probe into Warner s activities in January 2015 Mr Warner was found to have committed many and various acts of misconduct continuously and repeatedly during his time as an official in different high ranking and influential positions at FIFA and CONCACAF FIFA s ethics committee said in a statement He was a key player in schemes involving the offer acceptance and receipt of undisclosed and illegal payments as well as other money making schemes it added He was found guilty of offering and accepting gifts and other benefits as well as five other ethics violations The ban is effective from Sept 25 when Warner was notified Warner currently faces extradition to the U S on corruption charges relating to his nearly three decades at FIFA He denies wrongdoing and is resisting extradition on charges of racketeering wire fraud and money laundering in the developing FIFA corruption scandal The former CONCACAF president is one of the nine FIFA officials and five sports marketing executives who were indicted by US prosecutors in May One of the allegations leveled at the 72 year old is that he took a 10 million bribe from South African football officials in exchange for votes to land World Cup hosting rights Warner quit FIFA in June 2011 following an ethics report that said there was convincing and overwhelming evidence that the former FIFA presidential candidate Mohamed Bin Hammam and Warner were involved in trying to bribe Caribbean Football Union members Bin Hammam attempted to buy their votes in his bid to oust Sepp Blatter as FIFA president in May
